The Houston Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a Mud Bog competition staged by the Mid-Missouri Off-Roaders (MMOR) last Saturday in the arena at the county fairgrounds. Due to the death of someone close to them, most of the MMOR’s regular racers were not present for the event, and only two of the specially-designed mud bog vehicles made runs in the exceedingly wet course in the arena. Because of the situation, the MMOR has scheduled an encore performance in Houston for Saturday, June 30, prior to the chamber’s annual fireworks show, which is set for dark that night.
