At halftime of a Houston High School boys basketball game on Dec. 15, Romines Motor Co. co-owner Don Romines, center, his wife Barbara and Romines employee Christie Koch present a check for ,000 to Houston School District superintendent Allen Moss, right, and HHS principal Amy Smith. The funds were collected during Romines' annual Drive 4UR School fundraiser last September and will go toward the purchase of new doors for high school and middle school classrooms that are designed to increase safety in the event of an armed intruder situation.
