Work on this concrete box culvert was expected to be completed the following week on Highway 17 at the east edge of the city limits. A 20-foot dirt fill would cover the culvert. Work on grading of the new location's roadway was slated to start as soon as weather permitted. The concrete culvert replaced a narrow, low-water crossing on the old road.
