Houston closed its football season with a 6-0 win to Salem. In all SCA balloting, three Houston players were named to the first team — Don Rust, Ricky Ichord and Gary Koch. Ike Roderick made the second team. Honorable mention awards went to Steve Hutcheson, Dale Adey, Bruce Scheets, Joe Henry and Ted Adams. The selections were made by conference coaches.
