The Houston Lions Club donated a flag and pole to the Houston Area Chamber of Commerce that was installed in front of the Visitors Center. The flag was donated by Rep. Jason Smith. It was raised in Houston on the specially-designed 25-foot tall extendable pole on Tuesday morning. Present at the flag’s dedication were, from left, Robert Rouse (Lions Club), Crystal Stice (chamber board president), Don Tottingham (Houston mayor), Angie Miller-Quinlan (chamber executive director) and Don Shelhammer (Lions Club president). A metal plaque will be installed on the retaining wall below the pole.
