Brewers descend on D.C.
Representing craft brewers in Missouri, Brian and Joleen Durham – owners of the Piney River Brewing Co. in Bucyrus – joined a total of 244 beer brewers from across the U.S. on Monday in a "Hill Climb" in Washington, D.C., organized by the Brewers Association. Participants visited the offices of their respective federal legislators to share information about their breweries and craft beer in their states, and to talk with them about important issues like federal excise tax reform and funding for hops and barley research.
