Texas County residents Charley and Thelma Minson stand in front of their car and barn about five miles east of Houston. The couple lived on the property from 1938 to the 1950s. Local barn dismantler, Joseph Neal, recently took down the barn and found several sets of initials on boards inside it, including "CM" and "GM." Through a recent article in the Houston Herald, Neal reached out to the public in an attempt to determine whose initials he had found. He discovered that CM and GM belonged to Charley Minson and his daughter Gladene Minson. Gladene is now 81 and lives in Tulsa. Her son, Tim Hoit, contacted Neal and sent copies of several vintage family photos showing the barn in the background, including this one depicting Gladene's parents.
