Hundreds of turkey vultures circle around just after 5 p.m. last Wednesday above Sharp Shooters Gun & Pawn on Walnut Street in Houston. After spending nights last winter perching on trees on a Ozark Street property, the gigantic lock (or “wake,” “committee,” “venue,” “volt” or “kettle”) of buzzards has this year selected trees near a pond off of Walnut Street and alongside Third Street.
