Josephine Williamson, Pat and Leroy Lassiter, Darrell Colborn and Shirley Puckett of Houston attended the 60th anniversary of the International Country Gospel Music Association annual convention and award show Aug. 6, 7 and 8 at the West Plains Civic Center. There were more than 150 artists from all over the states performing including Chris Golden, son of William Lee Golden, who sings with the Oak Ridge Boys; and Jimmy Snow, son of famous country singer, Hank Snow. The host/president of this event is Dan Duncan, who is a pastor of Promised Land Church located in same facility as the channel 38 TV Studio, in West Plains. During the day, the convention center is open and the artists are showcasing their performance on stage.
