• With summer coming to a close, motorists will enjoy the lowest fuel prices in 12 years this weekend, says the gas monitoring site, gasbuddy.com. The reason? Gasoline prices have remained low even in light of high gasoline demand due to rampant oil production, leading supply to outpace demand for several years. U.S. production also has increased. The national average for Labor Day is expected to be about $2.19 a gallon.
