TIGER TIDBITS: Numbers are down with the Houston football program. Two players left the team this week, leaving the Tigers a roster of 33. “We have kids that won’t stick with it,” Houston coach David Williams said. “We have kids walking the halls that should be playing football. Several came out (for the team) and have quit. It has become too easy to quit.” …Starting center Curtis Woosley will miss 4-5 weeks after breaking a bone in his hand at Friday’s jamboree in Sullivan. Freshman Kolby Walker will start in his place. …Williams hopes the Tigers’ new pistol offense will jump-start the running game. Houston averaged just 2.3 yards per rush last season. The Tigers’ opponents averaged 7.4 yards. …The Bulldogs were the only opponent Houston out-rushed last season. The Tigers had a 185-159 advantage.
