Services are 2 o’clock today (Thursday) at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel for Roberta Walser of Houston.Mrs. Walser, 63, died Monday at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.Burial will be in the Hickory Ridge Cemetery. Roberta WalserNiris Roberta Walser, 63, daughter of Thelma Dutton, was born Nov. 2, 1942, at Houston. She died Dec. 19, 2005, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.She grew up in the Houston area and graduated from Houston High School in 1962.She was active in the American Legion Auxiliary for several years and attended the Assembly of God in Houston.She loved music and animals and played the piano at church, where she and her mother often sang.She was preceded in death by her mother Feb. 11, 2003.Surviving are her husband, Bobby Walser of Houston; and two stepsons, Bill and Robert Walser.Services were Dec. 22 at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Meade officiating. Burial was in the Hickory Ridge Cemetery. “
